Hello! I'm Valarie, and I help practice owners transform their practices into thriving teaching practices that raise value, revenue, and impact without burnout! As I embarked on my private practice journey, I soon realized that I was on the path to burnout. Despite having a large caseload, I wasn't able to create the large-scale impact that I craved. I also found that isolation was taking its toll. Clients were staying longer, demand was increasing, and referral options were limited. I desired a more collaborative environment and yearned for a dynamic team and the opportunity to reach more people. The idea of starting a group practice would require me to learn a whole new business model. Recognizing my limited capacity while treating so many clients, I decided to create my own model. That's when I embraced my love for teaching as a powerful avenue to share my expertise and replicate my work. To test this new approach, I took on an intern for a "trial run" in January 2019, and the outcomes were truly transformative. Let me share some of the remarkable highlights that emerged from this experience:

• The practice hit 1 million in revenue in 2022, just 3 years after pivoting to a group practice. 

• Most of my clinical staff were interns with our practice or recent grads when I hired them. My first intern is now my Assistant Clinical Director!

• 100% of my employees were referred to the practice by someone in their school cohort, at the practice, or in the community. $0 spent on hiring ads.

• In 2020, I bought & renovated a 3200 sq foot building for our practice. We moved into this space in January 2021.   

• In February 2022, I purchased the land for our second location- just 13 months after closing on the first. No SBA involvement. The practice put all 20% down.

• In 2022, I founded Trauma Care Pro, LLC- an education and consulting company focused on bringing trauma-competent education, innovation, and restoration to the counseling world and beyond.
